Servo Amplifiers
Yaskawa Sigma and LEGEND servo amplifiers have all-digital architecture with 32-bit microprocessor logic, high speed ASIC current-loop control, and IGBT power sections.
All Sigma and LEGEND amplifiers have serial encoder feedback with automatic motor recognition, expansion ports for addition of single-axis controls and network interfaces, separate main and control power connections, scalable encoder retransmission, sine-coded PWM output waveforms, full thermal overload protection of the motor, and UL, CE, and TUV certifications. Where required, Yaskawa amplifiers have built-in regenerative and dynamic brake resistors.
Yaskawa amplifiers are matched with Sigma motors with high-resolution serial encoder feedback to provide low velocity ripple and speed loop bandwidths exceeding 400 hz. These features allow very smooth motion at low speed, higher load-to-rotor inertia rations, and decreased setting time.
